In this session, we’ll continue the Autodesk–ModuleWorks journey around the Manufacturing Data Exchange Specification (MDES) and explore a bold new chapter: the emergence of third-party Autodesk Fusion plug-ins that bring advanced technology directly to the shop floor. We’ll spotlight SmartRoughing, the next-generation roughing toolpath initially launched in partnership with Kennametal. See a live example of how MDES and an open ecosystem allow deep tooling know-how to be deployed seamlessly inside workflows. But this session will go beyond just one toolpath—it’ll introduce "cross-pollination of manufacturing technology,” where ideas leap across disciplines to unlock new value. ModuleWorks would like to fully support Autodesk Fusion 360 user-base, and present any relevant topics about ModuleWorks' technology that is being integrated to Fusion 360 Extension.
The presentation would highlight Fusion 360's journey over the coming 1-2 years, and expand on the content that will be launched over this period and the functionalities that ModuleWorks technology will bring to Fusion 360 users. This could include topics on multiaxis and particularly easy-to-use multi axis.
The main aim would be to introduce ModuleWorks to a relatively new audience, without undermining any core messages that Autodesk wants to make, rather complement it. We would like to fully educate the user-base of what’s to come from all fronts.
The message of the presentation is the democratisation of 5-axis capabilities through ModuleWorks' technology and Autodesk's Fusion 360.
