How do you start from scratch when implementing a cloud solution capable of establishing a single source of truth for a global organization, bringing together thousands of users in a unified environment? What are the challenges for a company leader in elevators and escalators solutions for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry? How do you engage the people in the process, and how can you efficiently manage the change? Find out in this class. We'll chronicle the implementation process of Forma Data Management (on the Autodesk Forma platform) for KONE, in collaboration with Autodesk Consulting. The class will describe the approach taken, and explore the analysis of the main phases of an implementation process used to translate KONE's existing targeted workflows into operational instructions and platform settings. Discover the tangible benefits, with 30 minutes per user saved daily on data search, 30% reduction in document revisions, and reduced rework, thanks to the established framework. Learn how this solution can make an impact at the organizational level.

Have you encountered any challenges when creating a site context 3D model for a new project or proposal without sufficient survey data? This class will focus on workflows that will enable you to better create, evaluate, and communicate conceptual designs using InfraWorks software, Civil 3D software, and Revit software. We'll demonstrate how to build concept models from scratch by using the InfraWorks Model Builder tool, and we'll make modifications to the surface in InfraWorks by using imported 2D layout data from AutoCAD software and Civil 3D. Also, we will show the bidirectional workflow between Civil 3D and InfraWorks for grading design options and exporting out as IMX from InfraWorks to Civil 3D and converting them as toposurface in Revit for site work via publishing surfaces and linking topography to and from Autodesk Forma. Finally, we will cover the best practices to append the InfraWorks-exported FBX into Navisworks software for federated model with collaboration options like Autodesk Forma/BIM 360 and Shared View/web view links.

In this class, we'll demonstrate how to set up, configure, and drive design standardization for AutoCAD drawings in Autodesk Forma. AutoCAD and Forma Data Management have tighter integration through Desktop Connector. We'll explore best practices for enhanced collaboration while handling AutoCAD drawing relationships, including references and supported files in Forma Data Management. We'll share a quick walk-through on the Autodesk Bridge and explore its potential to help users unlock coordination during the design process and drive standardization in AutoCAD drawings. We'll demo AutoCAD cloud-based features like Activity Insights and DWG™ History showing how users can consult the changes made to their cloud-based drawings and templates anytime, anywhere. We'll wrap up the session with productivity enhancements in AutoCAD 2024 and Desktop Connector that help users achieve three Cs during their design process through AutoCAD drawings in Autodesk Forma projects.

In this session, Schueco will show—along with customer examples—how the firm is using Autodesk technology in tandem with its own developments to give its franchise-like partners know how and access to Schueco technology. From AutoCAD to Inventor to Autodesk Forma, from desktop to the cloud: design, make, and collaboration.

CAD data is the most important intellectual property that a manufacturer has. Autodesk offers products that create, manage, and enrich this data. AutoCAD, Inventor, and Autodesk Fusion 360 software create this data while Vault, Fusion 360 Manage Extension, and Upchain help manage it. The cloud-based Fusion 360 and Autodesk Forma platforms facilitate collaboration within the field, while Prodsmart helps collaboration within production. Simultaneously, aspects of this data need to be shared with other enterprise systems like ERP. Ultimately, all these systems must be able to share aspects of this data throughout the lifecycle of a manufacturer's products. We'll demonstrate, via examples of Autodesk customer projects, how technologies such as Autodesk Platform Services and other third-party technologies make it possible to share this important data between these systems rather than leaving it siloed in different systems.

Our answer still is – YES to all! Join us for our wise (and fun!) pointers on how to be a fearlessly productive Revit warrior

During this presentation we'll explain how to set up assets based on design files. We'll explore how to determine which assets need to be defined and what data can be associated in order for successful commissioning during the construction phase. We'll start by looking at how we can extract data from Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD software, and how we can prepare for assets import using the model-based workflow. As assets get installed in rooms and spaces, it's also critical to find a way to tie them to an LBS (location breakdown structure). Once we've defined these assets within Autodesk Forma, we'll show a way of creating a bidirectional link between the object in the design file and the Autodesk Forma database. We'll finish up using asset color coding on the 3D model, and run some reports we can use to show the progress of commissioning these objects.

AutoCAD paves the way for collaboration across people, devices, and platforms that is designed to help decision-makers optimize their workflows. Shaun Bryant (CADJedi), a LinkedIn Learning [in]structor, comes from a military family. His father served in the Royal Navy and taught him to keep all things shipshape! This includes his AutoCAD drawings. A crucial part of your daily drafting is managing your drawings to known standards, and ensuring that your blocks are on the correct layer, your text has the correct style or size, and your dimensions are using the appropriate dimension style. You must often face numerous (and sometimes onerous) issues with standards in your AutoCAD ?les, but taking the time to ?x these issues can be a massive timesaver in the long run. In this class, Shaun will take you through several AutoCAD techniques that speed up these processes and allow you to make your drawings open quicker with reduced ?le sizes and reduced risk of crashing—making you a much happier AutoCAD user!
