Record-Breaking Community Voting Comes to a Close

Please step away from the keyboard. The polls have closed. Tabulation has begun.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in community voting for AU Las Vegas class proposals. The enthusiasm was through the roof this year. We had a record-breaking number of votes—nearly 76,000—marking a 17% increase over last year. The more participants we have, the more votes we get, and the better tailored AU Las Vegas will be to the professional learning goals of our community.

BIM was the topic that received the most votes this year, and that’s hardly a surprise. New technology has led to new approaches, enabling you to connect the full construction lifecycle, from initial concept to final operation and management. Construction held second place, followed by automation, data management, and architectural services.

So what’s next? We continue the review process and make final class selections. Voting is just one of many criteria considered during this process. Notifications will be sent in mid-July, and registration opens in early August. Keep your eyes out for our AU Theater and community meetup selections as well.

Is it just us, or is time flying? Before you know it, we’ll be toasting each other in Vegas. Until then…
