Building High Trust for Collaboration

Design teams are becoming increasingly geographically diverse. Architects, designers, and consulting engineers for projects of any type or scale could be located in multiple organizations, offices, states, and even countries. How do you get the entire team to collaborate effectively in a BIM (Building Information Modeling) environment? BIM 360 Design is a cloud-based service that eliminates many of the obstacles of other collaboration solutions. This session is designed to highlight the benefits and limitations of BIM 360 Design, and to provide guidelines for building trust within a design team and managing expectations for success. Specific topics will include working in a high-trust environment, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the BIM 360 Design environment, identifying potential BIM 360 Design pitfalls and learning how to avoid them, discovering the importance of a BIM deployment plan for BIM 360 Design projects, and reviewing BIM deployment guidelines for projects that will utilize BIM 360 Design.
