Learning and Development Practice at AU 2016

As designers, engineers, and makers, being able to learn new skills and adapt to changing workflows and new trends is critical. In many instances, that just doesn’t happen without IT and CAD managers, colleagues, and peers who help highlight new implementations and shifting industry practices. (Really, give them a hand. You know who they are.) The need to learn new skills and connect with expert peers is what drives AU. But learning how to learn, or how to train and teach, is something in and of itself. That’s why Learning and Development Practice is a key area of focus at AU this year—from a thought-provoking keynote on design education to instructional classes for technology and CAD managers on how to best share knowledge, build effective training programs, and scale best practices within your firm. Be sure to schedule some time to focus on learning and training while you’re in Vegas this year with classes like these: Developing a Custom Training Curriculum and Strategy Join author and consultant Paul Aubin to learn about his approach to getting staff trained on new software and implementing company-wide procedures. You’ll walk away with a solid road map that you can adapt to your own situation, giving you the tools and strategies you need to design a successful training delivery system for your organization.
