Twitter at AU 2009

As some of you may already know, we are introducing several new ways for Autodesk customers to participate virtually in AU this year and over the next few weeks, we will be announcing these new programs on the AU website. We hope that each of these programs will not only help to extend the reach of content created for AU to a greater audience, but also translate some of the on-site AU experience into a rich and meaningful virtual experience that we are calling Autodesk University Virtual (AUv).

The AU Virtual interface will display:

  1. Session content
  2. Q&A interactions with the AU Virtual instructor
  3. Twitter '”tweets” between AU attendees

Why the Twitter feed? We want to create awareness in real-time about the best that AU has to offer, and to build on that awareness and highlight AU content. If you are in Las Vegas, London, or Lhasa, we want to hear from you about what you are learning, what are your “aha!” moments  or what thoughts are triggered as you participate in AU Virtual.

AU will provide a lot of content and we would like everyone who participates in AU—be it at the event in Las Vegas or AU Virtual—to add to this content. The Twitter feed is meant to tap into the “hallway conversations” that provide a lot of value and help enrich the formal learning experience from the classroom.

How can you participate?

Note: If you plan to register for AU Virtual, you’ll be asked for your Twitter account.

The AU team has been working very hard designing and developing those new channels to engage with AU content and experts, and we hope all this will help you get the most out of this year’s event.
