From Vision to Reality: Client-Centered Megadata Mastery in Qatar Rail's BIM Journey with Autodesk

This presentation will focus on implementation of building information modeling (BIM) and Autodesk Platform Services within Qatar Rail Metro from a client's perspective. The key challenges we'll highlight include the collaboration of 100+ external contributors and the effective management of megadata throughout 11, simultaneous, interlinked project lifecycles (especially during operation). We'll showcase the key innovations and workflows adopted to overcome these challenges. We'll discuss integration of BIM into the project framework, emphasizing benefits gained from inception to operational excellence. We'll trace the evolution of BIM within the project and its impact on project coordination and efficiency. This session will demonstrate the current importance of BIM in enabling Qatar Rail to manage mega-assets and associated BIM data, and we'll cover the value of Autodesk Platform Services in optimizing workflows across organization to drive cost efficiencies. With future plans to double the size of metro, the presentation will showcase Qatar Rails strategy to implement connected BIM, advanced data analytics, and extended/augmented reality.
