Account management basics

Cancel a subscription

To cancel and return a recently purchased subscription, go to contact support. To prevent the renewal of an active subscription, turn off auto-renew in your Autodesk account. Your current subscription will be active until the expiration date. If you decide to continue your subscription, you can turn auto-renew back on again before the end date.

Important: Information about accessing your data after your subscription expires:

  • Project files: You can continue to view files on your device using a free Autodesk viewer.
  • Cloud storage: You can access documents stored in the cloud for 30 days after the subscription ends. After 30 days, you may lose access to any storage that was granted by the subscription.

Turn off automatic renewal

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. In Billing and Orders > Subscriptions and Contracts, select a product to open the subscription details. If you see a Manage button, follow the Change Renewal by Order Number steps.
  3. Scroll down to the Renewal Details section and click Turn Off for the Auto-Renew setting.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete the change.
Note: If you’ve turned off auto-renew temporarily, you must turn it back on before the expiration date to renew.

Restart a subscription

You cannot restart expired subscriptions. To renew access to software and services, buy a new subscription online or from an Autodesk authorized partner.

If you have canceled your subscription by turning auto-renew off, but your subscription hasn't expired yet, follow the instructions to Renew a subscription.

Cancel a free trial

Your trial software automatically expires in 30 days. To upgrade from a trial to a subscription, see Convert a trial to a subscription.
