SKETS Studio transformed its 60,000-square-foot headquarters in New Delhi into a living digital twin. The campus supports more than 1,200 professionals. It now senses, analyzes, and optimizes itself in real time.

Using Autodesk Revit, Dynamo, Autodesk Tandem, and Tandem Connect, SKETS moved from reactive facility management to predictive, data-driven operations.

The building is no longer static. It thinks. It responds. It improves.

The Challenges

SKETS operates a high-performance workplace where precision matters. They manage:

  • Hundreds of physical assets

  • Data centers with strict temperature and humidity limits

  • Energy costs that impact the bottom line

  • Occupant comfort that affects productivity

Traditional building management systems worked in silos. Data was fragmented. Alerts were reactive. SKETS needed one intelligent platform to connect design data, assets, sensors, and operations. Their goal was clear:

  • Link BIM data with live sensor data

  • Monitor performance across the entire facility

  • Predict failures before they occur

  • Scale the solution across future locations

The Solution

SKETS partnered with Autodesk to deliver a three-phase digital twin framework.

Phase 1. Intelligent BIM Foundation

Using Autodesk Revit and Dynamo, SKETS enriched its BIM models with operational intelligence.

This included:

  • Asset metadata

  • Equipment classifications

  • System relationships

  • Spatial intelligence

Custom Dynamo scripts and Revit API automation enabled:

  • Automatic asset tagging

  • Rapid metadata population

  • Models ready for Autodesk Tandem

What once took weeks of manual work was reduced to hours. Every asset was structured for lifecycle management from day one.

Phase 2. Digital Twin in Autodesk Tandem

The enriched BIM data was migrated into Autodesk Tandem.

This created a live, spatially accurate operational model of the entire campus.

Teams gained:

  • A centralized asset repository

  • Floor- and zone-level visibility

  • Equipment history and relationships

  • A single source of truth for facilities

The physical building and its digital counterpart were now fully aligned.

Phase 3. Real-Time Intelligence with Tandem Connect Using Autodesk Tandem Connect, SKETS integrated IoT sensors directly into the digital twin. Live data streams included:

  • Temperature and humidity

  • Equipment performance

  • Environmental conditions

  • Space-level metrics

Each physical sensor was mapped to its corresponding digital asset. Performance could now be visualized and tracked in real time inside Autodesk Tandem.

The Results

Predictive Maintenance and Reduced Downtime

By analyzing equipment behavior and usage patterns, SKETS detects issues early. The impact:

  • Reduced unplanned downtime

  • Longer asset life

  • Fewer emergency repairs

  • Smarter maintenance scheduling

Maintenance shifted from reactive to predictive. Data-Driven Thermal Optimization Autodesk Tandem dashboards revealed persistent hot zones linked to façade sun exposure. SKETS responded by installing high-performance UV films. Solar heat gain dropped. HVAC loads decreased. Further analysis using Revit geometry and CFD modeling exposed airflow inefficiencies. Targeted adjustments to dampers, diffusers, and airflow rates stabilized indoor temperatures without overcooling. Comfort improved. Energy waste dropped. Smarter Security and Faster Response Autodesk Tandem also serves as a spatial index for CCTV feeds. AI-based monitoring flags anomalies. Teams jump directly to the exact location inside the digital twin. Verification and response are faster and more precise. Scalable, Cloud-Based Framework The Autodesk platform allows SKETS to replicate the digital twin across new facilities using:

  • Standardized BIM models

  • Cloud-based access

  • Reusable workflows

The framework is already being deployed at additional locations.

Why Autodesk?

Autodesk provided a fully connected ecosystem that unified:

  • BIM intelligence with Revit and Dynamo

  • Operational digital twins with Autodesk Tandem

  • Real-time IoT data via Tandem Connect

  • Secure, cloud-based scalability

This enabled SKETS to evolve from static building models to intelligent, operational digital twins.

What's Next?

SKETS is expanding the digital twin to include:

  • AI-driven energy and occupancy forecasting

  • ESG and sustainability metrics

  • Advanced corrosion monitoring

  • Autonomous building optimization

Redefining How Buildings Perform in the Digital Age

SKETS Studio built more than a smart building. It built a blueprint for intelligent facilities. By connecting BIM, IoT, and cloud-based digital twins with Autodesk, SKETS is redefining facility operations—predictive, data-driven, and sustainable.

This is how buildings should perform in the digital age.
