Downer’s recent migration from PlanGrid to Autodesk Construction Cloud Build has enabled access to greater support and new levels of value by helping to connect field and project management workflows for the company’s Water Pipeline Victoria project. Autodesk Build has enhanced document management and control; created time and environmental savings by going digital; and improved communication between stakeholders. Since 2020, the Downer Water Pipelines project team in Victoria has used PlanGrid for digital viewings of drawings and to complete digital forms. Recently, the team has worked closely with Autodesk to evolve its work into the more advanced Autodesk Construction Cloud Build (ACC Build) platform. This transition has marked a significant milestone for the project team, innovating to enhance its project management capabilities beyond what PlanGrid has offered. The Downer team’s use of digital tools has been significantly broadened by the introduction of ACC Build and subsequent training sessions.
With the implementation of ACC Build, the Downer team now has access to a comprehensive suite of features. These features are essential for meeting contractual obligations and streamlining operations. This includes robust management of schedules, assets, forms, and GIS locations for all project works. ACC Build is supporting the team to seamlessly collaborate and deliver projects on time and on budget. The team is pleased with the functionality and versatility of the program.
