Architects aren’t exactly known for loving data. But what happens when bad data costs you money—and reputation? In this session, we’ll take you behind the scenes of A-lab’s shift to becoming a data-forward studio that clients see as partners, not just consultants. Through a strategic collaboration with start-up AnkerDB and established industry systems like Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Platform Services, Revit software, and Microsoft Power BI, A-lab transformed its Project Delivery workflows, building a connected data ecosystem beyond BIM, to support real-time collaboration, transparency, and carbon-conscious design. We’ll share our “proof of concept” of BIM for lifecycle analysis—linking design and environmental data with benchmarks like BREEAM and the EU taxonomy. With live dashboards and automated workflows, this method boosts client trust, cuts CO2 budgets, and reshapes internal attitudes toward data.
