The architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is quickly adopting everything virtual design and construction (VDC). In this time of change, the state of MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) coordination is in flux. The best practices for most efficiently utilizing BIM (Building Information Modeling) are still being defined. This class looks at 10 different strategies that you can use to improve the coordination process, but from the perspective of an MEP subcontractor. It is often believed that the coordinator drives speed and efficiency, but this presentation aims to show how a subcontractor can help drive added value. This class will focus on how you can use Revit software and Fabrication CADmep software to achieve a high level of detail (LOD) in the coordination process.
