At Maire, we’ve successfully integrated Autodesk Workshop XR software into our engineering processes. This integrated platform facilitates model reviews using Meta Quest virtual reality (VR) headsets. Model reviews are critical design phases where engineers meet virtually to discuss project status and coordinate efforts. The use of VR headsets has been particularly beneficial, as it allows designers to immerse themselves in the full-scale 3D model and evaluate design choices effectively. Additionally, the platform enables users to snap and create issues, which can be shared with the team to track and address identified problems. This innovative approach has significantly enhanced our project coordination and design evaluation processes. In the past, we used a VR solution stored on a workstation. Workshop XR is useful in our integrated environment in Construction Cloud, where we store all our projects. Workshop XR is a part of our workflow in Construction Cloud with the standard use of documents and design automation module.
