Issue:

Before checking in part to Vault, the old IPT was renamed in Vault and a newly created IPT was using the old part name or after checking in renamed Inventor file to Vault, the following message appears:

A Problem occurred attempting to add 'xxx.ipt.dwf' to '<path>'. Would you like to continue adding any remaining files?

The server returned the following information: A file with this name already exists in the Vault.

A problem occurred while attempting to add Inventor file to Vault

Causes:

Renamed the file without renaming the DWF.

Solution:

When the file name is changed, the DWF visualization that was assigned to it must also be renamed to the same name. A new DWF must be created for the newly created file.
