The 2019.2 Update fixes compatibility issues with macOS 11 Big Sur. It also improves overall stability of the product. This update can be installed on all AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2019 official releases and is recommended for all users. Please read the entire document before you apply the update to your product. For reference, please save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

The 2019.1 update is included in this 2019.2 update.

macOS Big Sur Compatibility

• UI layout problems in some palettes and dialogs.
• UI string misaligned in some dropdown menus and popup lists.
• DWG preview shows upside-down in Finder.
• The horizontal toolbar color displays incorrectly.

Blocks

• Occasional crashes when confirm attributes after inserting a block.

Text

• Occasional crashes when editing a drawing with a lot of TrueType texts.
• Sometimes the Select Alternate Font window cannot be dismissed.

The 2019.2 Update can be installed on all previous official releases of AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2019 for Mac.

To install 2019.2 Update, do the following:

1. Close all Autodesk applications before you begin to install the update.
2. Double-click AutoCAD_Mac_2019.2_Update_Combo.dmg(AutoCAD_LT_Mac_2019.2_Update_Combo.dmg) to mount the volume.
3. Right-click AutoCAD_Mac_2019.2_Update_Combo.pkg(AutoCAD_LT_Mac_2019.2_Update_Combo.pkg) in the new mounted volume, select "Open With" > select "Installer (default)" > click "Open" in the warning dialog.

Note: If you double click the pkg file, you will see an alert and cannot continue with the installation.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Launch AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT for Mac after the installation has completed.
6. Click menu AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2019, select About AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT, the Product Version should be "AutoCAD 2019.2".

This update replaces files from the original installation of the product and cannot be uninstalled separately.

To uninstall this update, do the following:

1. Quit AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT for Mac.
2. In Finder, navigate to Applications > Autodesk > AutoCAD 2019 and double-click Remove AutoCAD 2019 app. For LT, navigate to Applications > Autodesk > AutoCAD LT 2019 and double-click Remove AutoCAD LT 2019 app.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Reinstall the product from the original product media or download.
