Celebrating 10 years of the Factory with the next evolution of the Autodesk Keypad.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Factory Experience<\/strong>. Since its debut at Autodesk University in 2016, the Factory has showcased the complete product development journey from concept and design to manufacturing and production through a new, hands-on product each year. Every project is an opportunity to demonstrate what’s possible with Autodesk Fusion and the incredible ecosystem of partners who help bring ideas to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate this milestone, we’re bringing back one of our favorite projects: the Autodesk Keypad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally created as a customizable macropad for Autodesk workflows, the Keypad quickly became a community favorite. For Version 3, we’ve reimagined the design with a more compact six-key layout<\/strong>, a refreshed user interface, enhanced customization, and a greater focus on sustainability. The result is a cleaner, more refined device that delivers the same functionality in a smaller, more thoughtfully designed package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with every Factory project, the Autodesk Keypad V3 is more than just a product. It’s a showcase of modern product development, demonstrating how design, engineering, and manufacturing come together to turn an idea into reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Factory, every project is an opportunity to learn, iterate, and improve. For the Autodesk Keypad V3, we took everything we learned from the previous design and reimagined the experience from the physical form factor to the interface users interact with every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most noticeable change is its size. By reducing the keypad from twelve keys to six, we created a more compact design that takes up less desk space while still delivering quick access to your most-used commands. The simplified layout allowed us to refine every aspect of the product, making it easier to build, more sustainable, and more intentional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest improvements is the user interface. Rather than simply displaying the active profile, the new UI becomes part of the interaction itself. Inspired by Autodesk’s design language, the refreshed interface uses dynamic graphics, visual metaphors, and subtle animations to provide immediate feedback as you use the keypad. Every button press feels more connected, with the display communicating what you’ve triggered in a way that’s both functional and engaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
