Much of their early work was bespoke and focused on oak carpentry with handcrafted projects for restaurants, private clients, and businesses. As the company grew, so did its fabrication techniques, and CNC gradually became a more central part of the workflow. It was through this shift that Vermland was first introduced to Autodesk Fusion.

“Fusion became a real breakthrough for us,” says Anton Bak, co-founder, Vermland. “That communication from all our designers to the actual production downstairs in the workshop was a huge upgrade in our workflow. The result is a timeless look, inspired by classic Danish design combined with a commitment to quality and durability. As interest grew, Vermland began receiving more requests from clients across Europe and the United States who wanted to bring their designs into their own homes and projects. At first, the team shipped fully built cabinetry in large containers. It worked, but it was complex, expensive, and difficult to scale.

That challenge pushed Vermland to rethink the system entirely. The result was a flat-packable, modular approach designed for international projects without compromising on quality or craftsmanship.

“Everything is in Fusion so we can just drag and drop our modules into the environment for new installations around the world,” Bak says. “We spent three years further developing the system, and now we’re delivering everything from full kitchen and bathroom cabinetry to wardrobes, shelving, benches, and more.
