This is now fixed. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/3441831\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Garystone44<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pointed out that the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-computer-aided\/post-processing-probelm\/td-p\/7473334\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">post processing problem<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on his Mac where <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0he wasn\u2019t able to select his custom Milltronics pos, yet all the other generic post were selectable. Sorry about that, we got this sorted out now. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apparently the CAM API \u201cpostProcess\u201d stop working. We got this sorted out and now the whole stack should update correctly. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Sketch inferencing is now more stable<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We were able to make improvements on how the sketch environment handles sketch inferencing so that it is more stable. Talk to us if you still run into inferencing issues, we\u2019ll be sure to look into it if symptoms persist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Editing Extrude extents no longer hangs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/4280112\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jacob.bjorkman<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported an issue where he was seeing a crash when he tried go back to a previous extrude action and change the extents. We fixed this glitch and now when you do this, Fusion 360 won\u2019t throw a fit anymore.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Scaling with &#8220;through all&#8221; Hole issue fixed<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/3987612\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hakmt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> started a discussion with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/226105\"><b>jeff.strater<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> around some wonky behavior regarding scaling bodies. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apparently it was specific to a certain set of features when used with the \u201cthrough all\u201d hole types. \u00a0When <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/3987612\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hakmt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> made a \u201cthrough all\u201d hole, it caused Fusion 360 to get confused about the two bodies, and when scaled, each body was represented twice, which is why it got scaled twice. We hereby deem this bug squashed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><b>2D Drawings\u00a0<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hopping over to the 2D drawings workspace, we found an issue where, in a new sheet of an existing drawing, cancelling out of a new base view and going back to the modeling tab where the assembly was caused Fusion 360 to hang. After digging into it, we found that the issue had to do with how the workspace handles undo\/redo options. Bingo &#8211; this is now squared away. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><b>Usability\u00a0<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Zooming with 3Dconnexion issue fixed<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those of you orbiting around your designs with a 3Dconnexion input device, you\u2019ll be happy to hear that we\u2019ve fixed the zooming issue (in Perspective Camera View) and that you can now fly in and around your model with much better control and precision. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Macbook Pro with touch-bar and High Sierra issue fixed<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mac with touch-bar issue fixed \u00a0&#8211; We started a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/attn-macbook-pro-w-touch-bar-users-do-not-upgrade-to-high-sierra\/m-p\/7448035\/highlight\/false#M11603\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">thread<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> around this issue, and we\u2019re to let you know that this issue no longer exists. Thank goodness!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Attention Mac OS 10.10 users: upgrade to 10.11<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fusion 360 will be supporting only Mac OS 10.11 and higher starting on November 29 &#8211; If you\u2019re still on Mac OS 10.10 and are an avid Fusion 360 user, then this is a good excuse for you to upgrade to 10.11. We are upgrading our backend code and it\u2019s makes much more sense for all of us to stay up-to-date the most recent versions of operating systems. For more info about your upgrade options, check out your Mac App Store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><strong>CAM\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">New!<\/span> Form Mill tool<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8601\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/form-tool.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"990\" height=\"545\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve teased you with videos and we\u2019ve teased you with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-ideastation-request-a\/form-tool-support-for-tool-library\/idi-p\/6517642\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">screenshots<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Now it\u2019s finally here! In the CAM workspace under the Manage drop-down menu, you now have access to the Form Mill tool and use custom sketch profiles to create your own custom tool mill tools. \u00a0As <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/3677118\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">msheridan523<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pointed out in the IdeaStation post, this is super useful for you to build out your own custom tool library.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8602\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.12.47-PM-1024x740.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"740\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.12.47-PM-1024x740.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.12.47-PM-300x217.png 300w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.12.47-PM-768x555.png 768w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.12.47-PM.png 1240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you\u2019re in the command, you see selection options for the Tool Profile, Tool Axis, and Compensation Point. You also have a handy option to flip the axis if the tool gets created upside down. This currently only works for 2d contour and trace, and will not work for roughing tool-paths.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Updated setup sheet<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/3096342\"><b>LEEMCLAIN2521<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">told us that tool length <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/tool-length-not-on-setup-sheet\/m-p\/7295336\/highlight\/false#M7605\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">went missing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and no longer appeared on the setup sheet. We made an update to the setup sheet in August that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">had &#8220;showTools&#8221; enabled by default, as well as holder information (including tool length), but it was a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cam.autodesk.com\/posts\/?p=setup-sheet\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">separate download<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Our bad. We\u2019ve now updated the one that comes with Fusion 360 so you don\u2019t have to go download the latest version separately. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>2D Contour ramp gouging issue fixed<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We fixed a gouging issue where if you changed the ramp clearance height value of a tool-path where the wall of the part was tapered at an angle, the tool-path simply went straight down, completely disregarding the angle. Now it will follow the tapered wall, so that the tool-path is also correctly &#8220;tapered&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Dovetail cutter diameter issue fixed<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-computer-aided\/parker-hannifin\/m-p\/7322952\/highlight\/false#M35944\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This thread <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pointed out that the current dovetail tool definition defines the total width of the tool as the diameter as well as the radius of the tip. Yeah, that ain\u2019t gonna work. The dovetail tool definition should define the total width of the tool as the diameter, and the tip radius must fit within this diameter, similar to the bullnose endmill definition. Now it\u2019s defined correctly. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Fusion 360 now works better with 3rd party tool simulators<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve added the ability to pick an attach point for fixtures, so that your assembly can go from Fusion 360 to NCSimul, CAMplete, and Vericut simulation tools without a hitch and show up correctly on the machine table.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><strong>Browser Client<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">New!<\/span> Combine tool now available\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8608 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.34.06-PM-300x194.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.34.06-PM-300x194.png 300w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-16-at-1.34.06-PM.png 504w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yay! Our beloved Combine command is now available in the browser client. It behaves just like how it does in Fusion 360 desktop &#8211; select the target body, then the tool bodies, pick the operation (Join, Cut, or Intersect), and decide whether you want to keep or ditch the tool bodies used. What Combine currently doesn&#8217;t have is the ability to create a new component, but don&#8217;t fret, you will be able to once browser client has better support for assembly creation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a wrap for this one!
