{"id":8050,"date":"2017-07-11T08:21:29","date_gmt":"2017-07-11T15:21:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/?p=8050"},"modified":"2017-07-11T08:21:29","modified_gmt":"2017-07-11T15:21:29","slug":"quick-tip-slice-n-dice-july-4th-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/quick-tip-slice-n-dice-july-4th-week\/","title":{"rendered":"QUICK TIP: Slice n&#8217; Dice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our &#8220;Sketch Gems&#8221; QUICK TIP&#8217;s are some of our most popular to date, and for good reason: everyone sketches, there&#8217;s tons of hidden feature, and we&#8217;re continually adding more.\u00a0That&#8217;s why I was thrilled in &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/owCqa8FA-jo\">Sketch Gems, Part 2<\/a>&#8220;, to be able to share what I had recently learned about &#8216;slicing&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Using that option while in a sketch, will allow users to temporarily slice a\u00a0model using the sketch plane. This has the obvious benefit of making it easier to visualize details, but it can even help by avoiding unintended constraints. Since then, however, I&#8217;ve learned a new way to slice\u00a0a model, and thought it was equally worth sharing.
