Even the company name was inspired by the site that was previously used to build Hawk aircraft.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Hawk Furniture\u2019s products are decidedly different than the property\u2019s heritage. With a switch to Autodesk Fusion, they\u2019re making greater strides with time savings, accuracy, and creativity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>\u201cInnovation and design are really important to us. By using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/parametric-furniture-design\/\">parametric modeling in Fusion<\/a>, the team can instantly adjust dimensions to meet a customer\u2019s exact specifications. Instead of starting from scratch, they simply input the required measurements, and the design is generated immediately. This flexibility allows them to offer bespoke furniture while streamlining the design process.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Photos_01_02_14_12-1024x540.jpg\" alt=\"Hawk Furniture Autodesk Fusion drawings\" class=\"wp-image-80053\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Photos_01_02_14_12-1024x540.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Photos_01_02_14_12-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Photos_01_02_14_12-768x405.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Photos_01_02_14_12-1536x810.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Photos_01_02_14_12.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the team uses configurations in Fusion to create multiple versions of a product. \u201cConfigurations allows us to create all the configurations of a design in one file,\u201d says Ben Tilford, design engineer, Hawk Furniture. \u201cYou just literally change it through a dropdown system.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For design and manufacturing with sheet metal, they also eliminated previously time-consuming steps.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have a very bespoke cable tray design, so drawing that in 3D and then turning it into a flat sheet with sheet metal was so much handier [with Fusion],\u201d says Tom Sheavyn, design engineer, Hawk Furniture. \u201cPreviously, we would have had to draw it in 3D, send that to the metal work department, and they would have had to make the flat part themselves. Anyone can look. It&#8217;s such a user-friendly layout and very easy to navigate through, so anyone can get the information they need. It&#8217;s all there.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><em>\u201cIn the past, we might have thought something would fit together. Only when we were building, we would realize something might be wrong. Using Fusion, we can find early problems. The parameters are set up in Fusion for our machines.
