Go Big or Go Home<\/h1>\n

Why not kick-off the New Year right with another #fusioncamchallenge, as well as start the buzz around Autodesk University 2017?! \u00a0For another\u00a010 days, starting in January\u00a0(23rd to be exact) we ran another Fusion 360 CAM contest on Instagram.\u00a0\u00a0So why no \u2018demo file\u2019\u00a0you might ask? \u00a0Chatting with Al Whatmough & Co., the biggest constructive feedback we heard from our previous challenges were:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. 10 days wasn’t enough time.<\/li>\n
  2. People are trying to get orders\u00a0out the door<\/li>\n
  3. Their machine was down.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Well\u2026we didn\u2019t want to make the #fusioncamchallenge 3 months long; as well as disrupt the ecosystem of your shop. \u00a0SO we thought to ourselves, why don\u2019t we just have our customers showcase what they\u2019re designing and manufacturing with Fusion 360? \u00a0There\u2019s no distractions, no demo part file to deal with, and no excuses.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    57 unique entries\u00a0later, posting a variety of over\u00a0158\u00a0photos\/videos of multiple\u00a0parts\u00a0either machined, CNC routed, laser-cut, water-jetted\u00a0or dancing on a 5-axis table, all contestants demonstrated their mastery of the manufacturing process, knowledge of HSM products, and artistic flair. \u00a0We wanted to get people excited about Autodesk University now, and\u00a0offered the winner admission and hotel expenses to Autodesk University 2016 (Nov. 14th<\/sup>-16th<\/sup>) as the \u2018Grand Prize\u2019, along with other consolation prizes such as a GoPro and Fusion 360 Swag.<\/p>\n

    As always, the first couple of days were quite quiet on Instagram, (except for @phil_butterworth_experience<\/a> hint hint); but that wasn\u2019t the case after seeing the caliber of customer products trickling in.\u00a0 Everyone wanted that Grand Prize trip to AU2017, and didn\u2019t want to settle for second place (even though you can\u2019t complain about a GoPro Hero5).<\/p>\n

    To all the contestants, THANK YOU for participating in another #fusioncamchallenge, and as a community, we showed the power of our HSM Products!\u00a0 We do what we do because we love seeing what you do with it.<\/p>\n
