Last week the Hackster.io “Give Your Hardware a Home”<\/a>\u00a0challenge came to a close, wrapping up 60 days of intense competition. As outlined in our original blog post<\/a>, the challenge was fairly straightforward: pick one of three electronics hacks that don’t have a “home,” and use Fusion 360 to design an enclosure for them.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Not surprisingly, we had\u00a041\u00a0<\/strong>outstanding entries, so selecting 3 winners was no easy task. Let’s take a look at the winning entries!<\/p>\n

1st Place | iStrat Internet Radio Guitar<\/a>\u00a0| Dave Clarke<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dave clark wowed us with this ornamental, yet modern internet radio. The design combines freeform sculpting, as well as detailed work on the inside to house all the electronics. David went above and beyond, creating 7 entries to the contest<\/a>, and even some truly jaw-dropping animations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2nd Place | Mini-Vintage Internet Radio<\/a>\u00a0| Guilherme Schallenbach<\/strong><\/p>\n

The detail Guilherme put into this vintage internet radio is truly phenomenal. From button functionality<\/a>\u00a0to assembly instructions<\/a>, every detail was accounted for in this remarkable design. To our amazement, this was Guilherme’s first time using any 3D modeling software. If this is just the beginning, we can’t wait to see what’s next!<\/p>\n

3rd Place | Homer Wi-Fi Door Sensor<\/a>\u00a0| Pipe Aguirre<\/strong><\/p>\n

This creative Wi-Fi door sensor by Pipe Aguirre truly put a smile on our face. Despite the comical design, Pipe put some serious effort into all the details that go into the internal structure of the design. Similar to Dave, Pipe submitted multiple entries<\/a>\u00a0into the contest, proving his serious Fusion 360 chops!<\/p>\n
