When working with imported models, sometimes rotating to the right view can be a bit frustrating<\/em>, to say the least.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It’s not all the time, but when it does happen, the cause can be rooted in a couple of\u00a0things. In my case, part of it has to do with\u00a0personal preference; which is to use a “constrained orbit”. This means that when I rotate, it acts as if my model is sitting on a turntable, but if the imaginary turntable is not oriented in the way you’d expect….<\/p>\n

\"youre-gonna-to-have-a-bad-time\"This is less burdensome if you use the alternative “free orbit” instead, but it can still be beneficial to adjust standard view orientations. In the following QUICK TIP, I’ll cover how to do this, and show you how to adjust the\u00a0orbit center at the same time, another key to having a good time<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Similar to the video, I want to reiterate that these view changes DO NOT carry down into other workspaces, like CAM and Simulation, so if you want those same view settings you’ll need to reset the views again.<\/p>\n
