You no longer need to use a series of arcs and lines to accomplish a contoured shape for your board outline.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will notice that the drawing tools now include the Spline command.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"120\" height=\"368\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-41.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41069\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-41.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-41-98x300.jpg 98w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 120px) 100vw, 120px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After selecting the spline option:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1- By left-clicking you&#8217;ll begin drawing the spline as a straight line.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2- The next 2 clicks will be used for your curvature control.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3- Third and final click will be to finish the spline geometry.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can end the spline after the one control point defined by doing a double left click at the end point.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/spline-2.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41074\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Import 3D PCB from Fusion 360<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The latest Fusion 360 update includes a 3D PCB editor that can be generated by a sketched outline drawn in the design workspace or a projected geometry from an existing enclosure. With the extended drawing capabilities of EAGLE to include splines, it\u2019s now possible to capture 3D PCB geometry directly into Autodesk EAGLE for your board outlines.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DrillCapture.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41080\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use Splines tool to define custom PCB curved outlines.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are using the newly implemented Spline command to define and c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">apture complex geometry curvature for the circuit board outline.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After drawing the sketch outline or capturing the enclosure follow these steps:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1- Click on the Create pull down menus.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2- Select the profile to use for your PCB outline.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3- From the EAGLE PCB Editor, select the Fusion 360 extension option.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4- Navigate your Fusion 360 projects and select the PCB you wish to import into EAGLE.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This update will be ready and waiting to download the next time you start your software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not a Subscriber yet?
