The doll\u2019s&nbsp;innocent&nbsp;purple barrette, pigtails,&nbsp;and orange&nbsp;dress belie&nbsp;something truly terrifying or&nbsp;darkly funny \u2014 whatever your take on the&nbsp;giant&nbsp;killer doll might be.&nbsp;When the children&#8217;s song in the background&nbsp;stops, her head&nbsp;rotates&nbsp;180-degrees.&nbsp;Her darting, motion-detection&nbsp;eyes&nbsp;then coldly identify&nbsp;the moving targets.&nbsp;One thing is for sure \u2014 it\u2019s hard to think of the game \u201cRed Light, Green Light\u201d in the same way again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A couple of years ago, Anthony Lim, a YouTube&nbsp;creator&nbsp;and 3D design freelancer&nbsp;based in Korea took up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/campaigns\/fusion-360\/dream-to-done?mktvar002=4333583001|ORG|&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=other&amp;utm_campaign=4333583dmblogf360&amp;utm_id=4333583001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Autodesk Fusion 360<\/a> as a hobby.&nbsp;After&nbsp;seeing the popularity of&nbsp;<em>Squid Game&nbsp;<\/em>explode&nbsp;worldwide, a friend&nbsp;suggested&nbsp;that he try to recreate the now-infamous doll. Lim, also known as&nbsp;Mandler, took him up on the challenge&nbsp;and created a nearly identical replica\u2014albeit two feet tall and&nbsp;definitely not&nbsp;deadly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&#49892;&#51228;&#47196; &#51089;&#46041;&#54616;&#45716; &#50724;&#51669;&#50612;&#44172;&#51076; &#47196;&#48391;&#51012; &#47564;&#46308;&#50632;&#49845;&#45768;&#45796;. Real working Squidgame doll  #&#50724;&#51669;&#50612;&#44172;&#51076; #&#50724;&#51669;&#50612;&#44172;&#51076;&#47564;&#46308;&#44592;#squidgame\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WV7Z46sdsr8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen style=\"aspect-ratio:500 \/ 281;width:100%;height:auto;\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here,&nbsp;Mandler&nbsp;shares his experiences with this project, Fusion 360, and advice for others seeking to fulfill their creative&nbsp;aspirations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-was-your-process-for-creating-the-dollnbspand-how-long-did-it-takenbsp\"><strong>What was your process for creating the doll, and how long did it take?<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I started collecting photos for reference and selected the electronic components to implement the mechanisms&nbsp;for movement&nbsp;(i.e.,&nbsp;motor, motor controller,&nbsp;neopixel&nbsp;LED, Arduino board, etc.)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The face was the hardest part to model.&nbsp;When I completed the freeform modeling, I scaled it&nbsp;according to the size of the internal electronic components.&nbsp;Once I arranged&nbsp;the electronic parts,&nbsp;I worked on the solid modeling of the parts&nbsp;required for the mechanism and the control&nbsp;of the angle and&nbsp;neck movement&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;joint function.&nbsp;With these steps completed, the doll parts&nbsp;were 3D printed&nbsp;with both resin and FDM printers.&nbsp;After assembly, I completed the coding&nbsp;with&nbsp;Arduino IDE for the movement and then processed and painted&nbsp;the doll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The design,&nbsp;3D&nbsp;printing, electronic control programming, processing,&nbsp;and painting all took two weeks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"during-this-process-which-autodesk-fusion-360-feature-was-the-most-helpful-to-you\">During this process, which Autodesk Fusion 360 feature was the most helpful to you?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The freeform and joint functions were&nbsp;really helpful. Since I\u2019m not a professional designer, it can be hard to model a curved surface. Using the t-spline function in Fusion 360,&nbsp;I can handle the curved surfaces, which would have been impossible with my experience level.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Fusion 360 was also helpful with the&nbsp;design&nbsp;of the&nbsp;neck movement mechanism&nbsp;and the ability to select the&nbsp;angle of&nbsp;the&nbsp;parts through the joint function.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-other-projects-have-you-made-with-fusion-360\">What other projects have you made with Fusion 360?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I have several projects, including a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-4v1QxaEWps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harry Potter wand<\/a>&nbsp;that lights a small flame at the end, a&nbsp;large&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pGi5ooYBO24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bluetooth speaker<\/a>&nbsp;in the shape of&nbsp;an&nbsp;AirPod, and even an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3uH4w1FIWgE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">oversized light stick<\/a>&nbsp;in honor of K-pop band <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bts.bighitofficial\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BTS<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At first, I started Fusion 360 to have some&nbsp;fun&nbsp;and make simple things.
