Generative design in Autodesk Fusion 360<\/a> made its initial commercial debut in October of 2018. Since then, we’ve been learning a lot about how we can make it easier for you to try what we believe will be beneficially transformative to the way you design and engineer your products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over these past few years, you’ve watched us expand our functionality to include additional manufacturing methods<\/a>, load and constraint types, and performance objectives. We’ve also added tools for helping you select the best outcome<\/a> and have improved our geometry conversion to make using an outcome in your design process increasingly more seamless. You may have also noticed in-product surveys, experiments and promotions around our pricing model to learn what works best for you. Another less visible area of progress is in our use of the cloud. We’ve refined our usage of cloud computing<\/a>, significantly increasing our efficiency through better alignment with how you’re using the solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With your feedback and our continuous improvement efforts in mind, we’re announcing an updated generative design price structure that gives teams of all sizes and budgets a chance to experience its benefits. Starting today, we’re making generative design subscriptions accessible at a game-changing price point of $200 USD per month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Experience and insight put us in a position to dramatically increase access to the technology and invite a much broader swath of Autodesk users to see what\u2019s possible with generative design,” Stephen Hooper, VP and General Manager of Autodesk Fusion 360, said in today’s ADSK News announcement. “Giving design teams of any size and budget an opportunity to take advantage of it has been our vision since inception, as we believe it will be good for everyone.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see in the chart below, generative design subscriptions still allow for the same unlimited generation of outcomes and the creation of editable Fusion 360 designs:<\/p>\n\n\n
