The things we can now materialize into physical objects are nearly limitless, but the application of this tech in manufacturing is still relatively limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support startups who are applying additive manufacturing to their process, <strong>Fusion 360 is sponsoring the Forward AM Innovation Award hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basf.com\/us\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BASF<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BASF is a leading innovator in the additive industry, producing a number of standards for materials and pushing the material science of additive manufacturing forward.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Forward AM Innovation Award is looking for startups who use additive manufacturing as an application. What does that mean? <strong>If a final part of your product uses 3D printing for manufacturing, you should apply.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"who-is-the-basf-forward-am-innovation-award-for\">Who is the BASF Forward AM Innovation Award for? <\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The AM innovation award is designed to help additive startups accelerate their journey to market. BASF and Autodesk are looking for companies working on additive application&nbsp;ideas that are less than 5 years old and ideally have less than 50 employees. Education spin-offs and medium-size companies with dedicated additive&nbsp;departments are also welcomed!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-do-i-get\">What do I get?  <\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>Successful applicants will receive a full commercial seat of Fusion 360 for the entire duration of the competition.<\/strong> That means generative design, cloud computing, and free access to all extensions, for the entire competition. But that\u2019s just icing on the cake!\u00a0Winners of the BASF innovation award will also receive:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Deloitte Sustainability award \u2013 EUR 10,000 cash&nbsp;<\/li><li>People\u2019s Award \u2013 EUR 15,000 cash&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Grand Prize \u2013 EUR 80,000 in goods and services&nbsp;<\/li><li>Finalists will receive EUR 20,000 cash, and 2 months of coaching and marketing&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Goods and&nbsp;Services&nbsp;means you can pick up to 80K of stuff from&nbsp;<em>any and all sponsors<\/em>. That\u2019s a lot of Autodesk software (we\u2019re just saying).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-do-i-have-to-do\"><strong>What do I have to do? <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n<p>All you have to do to participate is <a href=\"https:\/\/move.forward-am.com\/award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply<\/a>. Successful applicants will make it into the first round, where you can work with mentors and develop your idea further to help you win those&nbsp;sweet&nbsp;sweet&nbsp;prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Applications are open until March 28, 2021.
