Turns out there was some wonkiness going on with Radeon graphics cards. Now they all display the appropriate content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Usability\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/9125081\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">malaidmitrii4UTWK<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> experienced an issue where the Move command wasn\u2019t working as expected when moving mesh bodies. Apparently the first move action was applied twice for some odd reason. Now it should be working fine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Electronics Design<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When working with an electronics design library, some of you ran into an issue where <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">editing a managed library from Library Manager sometimes does not create a linked library. We <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">made sure that all libraries when they are uploaded or managed remain managed after opening and closing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sketching<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We found some instability issues around sketching a poly-line. No, you\u2019re not dreaming; you got an early look at these two new languages, soon becoming available for everyone. You may notice some discrepancies in some areas of the product, and that\u2019s because we\u2019re still ironing out the kinks. If you want to switch back to English, German, Chinese or Japanese, you can do it via your preference settings under User Language. Some of our users there told us that Korean characters were truncated when renaming entities in the browser. We tweaked how the browser behaves and now Korean characters are no longer cut.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/4626929\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slussi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported an issue where switching between application windows and coming back to Fusion 360 gave him the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/paint-selection-alt-tab-component-drag\/m-p\/9400889\/highlight\/false\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unexpected ability to drag a component<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> out of place in the direct modeling environment, even though the Component Drag option was turned off. We found that using the Alt + Tab keyboard shortcut somehow tricked Fusion 360 to register component dragging as allowed. This is now fixed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We fixed a mouse wheel scrolling issue that was found in a variety of command dialog drop-down menus, where scrolling through options caused the cursor to lose focus and close for no apparent reason.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/2782855\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HughesTooling<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported a component naming issue awhile back where models he brought in from the Parts4Cad where the names that had a decimal point to them (like AH-6.2&#215;400 for example) would get <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/parts4cad-support\/m-p\/7195403\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">truncated at the decimal point<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> when they appeared in Fusion 360\u2019s browser. Now these names will appear as they should. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/expand]<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><strong>Data Management<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><b>[icon name=&#8221;thumbs-up&#8221; class=&#8221;&#8221; unprefixed_class=&#8221;&#8221;] Improved!<\/b><\/span><b> Project navigation preview in Fusion Team (for Team sites only)\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To try the improvement, make sure you are in a Team Site.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Access the Team site web experience by going to the Team site switcher in the data panel, hover over the team, and click on Open on the Web.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/img_6217b000376c1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We heard you when you told us that you needed a better way to navigate through your projects when you\u2019re working in the web experience of Fusion Team. Now you can try a new navigation experience that we\u2019ve rolled out as a preview.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To get to Fusion Team, locate the team site switcher in the data panel and click on the \u201cOpen in the Web\u201d icon to launch your web browser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/img_6217b0039c3ac.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you\u2019re in Fusion Team, go to your avatar in the top right corner and click on Settings. Toggle over to the Preview tab and click to see if \u201cNavigation Panel\u201d preview option is enabled. Now you should be able to browse through them and see what is contained in them in the main panel without losing sight of all the projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><b>Improved!<\/b><\/span><b> Open in Fusion 360 from Web Viewer for team members<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To share a design: Data Panel &gt; Project\u00a0 &gt; Design &gt; Right-click &gt; Share Public Link<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To view a design via web viewer: get the Public share link and open in your web browser<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/img_6217b00cb5736.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Previously if you opened a design using the Open in Fusion 360 button, it would open the design as a new unsaved design, regardless of the account or access you have. Now if you are part of the same team or have access to the project that the shared design originates from, Fusion 360 will automatically open the original source file instead of creating and opening a copy. Since it is the actual source file, you will be able to see the file\u2019s version information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/img_6217b01017df2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><strong>Sketch &amp; Modeling<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><b>[icon name=&#8221;thumbs-up&#8221; class=&#8221;&#8221; unprefixed_class=&#8221;&#8221;] Improved! <\/b><\/span><b>Edit in Place is now more powerful<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preferences &gt; Preview Features &gt; Edit-in-Place<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Access the functionality by hovering over inserted reference components, or when right-clicking the inserted reference component.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the recent introduction of Edit in Place preview functionality, you\u2019re now able to edit cross-referenced parts in an assembly design directly within the context of the whole assembly, without needing to open the part in a separate document tab. We improved the experience with a few more changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Joint Creation<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/img_6217b017cf218.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now when you\u2019re editing a reference part in context to the assembly, you can also apply joints to them and the parts around them, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">preventing them from being repositioned in the assembly after you exit out of Edit in Place<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Default Context is now Local Context<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We renamed Default context to Local context. This implies the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">representation of all components as they exist locally in the cross-reference without any influence from the assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Non-associative Edit in Place is now possible<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Building components within the context of an assembly is helpful in many situations, but sometimes you may not want it to be associative. We\u2019ve now also made it possible to create non-associative changes to a referenced part in the Edit in Place workflow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/help.autodesk.com\/view\/fusion360\/ENU\/?contextId=ASM-EDIT-IN-PLACE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">See help documentation:\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Edit in Place<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><b>[icon name=&#8221;thumbs-up&#8221; class=&#8221;&#8221; unprefixed_class=&#8221;&#8221;] Improved!<\/b><\/span><b> Edge Alignment for Loft Surfaces\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Design workspace &gt; Surface tab &gt; Loft\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based on community feedback, we\u2019ve improved how you can align surface loft edges in the Loft command. You can now choose between Free Edges, Align Edges, or Align to Surface to control the edge alignment for the loft surface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/img_6217b01bc5b37.png\" width=\"293\" height=\"361\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To get to these options enable either Tangent (G1) or Curvature (G2) on a model or surface edge and the options will appear ready for selections next to the curvature options. We\u2019re happy to report this bug is gone for good.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/3165779\"><b>Swarfmaker<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">told us about a graphical issue where the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/outline-edges-to-sections-in-model-space-are-inconsistent\/m-p\/9450788\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">outline edge of the section analysis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> view was temperamental. Sometimes parts of the edge disappeared, other times parts of the edge appeared to be thicker or thinner than the rest. Now the edges look consistent throughout.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/8250237\"><b>JeuElissen<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">experienced an issue where Fusion 360 was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/not-possible-to-change-the-appearance-of-a-design\/td-p\/9406689\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unable to change the appearance material<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of certain bodies, and would get hung up on it indefinitely. Turns out there as a graphics parameter that was causing traffic to pile up. We cleared it and now this issue has been resolved.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We improved Fusion 360\u2019s ability to open specific assembly files (f3z) that have been uploaded via the data panel. Previously some designs caused the software to crash. Now they will open correctly.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/4804176\"><b>Knifacat<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was able to consistently reproduce a crash issue that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/consistent-crash-from-insert-derive-with-shared-parameters-part\/m-p\/9349824\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">involved deriving a component that only had parameters<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These are the types of issues we love to see, because they are reproducible and we were able to pin-point exactly what went wrong. Thanks to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">K<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/4804176\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nifacat<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, this is now fixed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/529859\"><b>GRSnyder<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">found a bug in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/reproducible-hang-in-sweep-on-macos\/m-p\/9309111\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sweep command<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that was causing performance issues depending on how he set the Sweep guide-rail options. We were also able to reproduce this, and we\u2019re happy to report that we got this issue resolved.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/4011050\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rhelms77<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported another Sweep issue where the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-design-validate\/sweep-along-spline-with-adjustable-parameters\/m-p\/8110189\/highlight\/false\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sweep along a Spline<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> failed even though the preview showed that it was good to go. Now if the preview shows that the sweep will be successful, it will happen.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Converting bodies into components is a completely valid workflow, and you should be able to go back in time (via the timeline) and edit the body before it was created into a component. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/2890089\"><b>Nhfoley<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ran into an issue where he was unable to select and edit the body before he made it into a component. This is now fixed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We were told that a bug was causing the parameters table to go blank after you\u2019ve created an Extrude action with the Direction option set to Symmetric. We made sure that this wouldn\u2019t happen again.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/3977044\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">derProtoTyp<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> told us about an issue where the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-support\/boundary-fill-gives-no-warning-when-it-fails-no-yellow-icon-in\/m-p\/9021715\/highlight\/false\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boundary Fill tool<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> didn\u2019t update properly after he tweaked the sketch curve that the boundary fills were based on. After some debugging, we were able to the code so that it does update properly. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/user\/viewprofilepage\/user-id\/7682639\">Art5<\/a> came across a <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/fusion-360-design-validate\/extend-errors\/m-p\/9009071#M197019\">Surface &gt; Extend issue<\/a> where expected error messages didn\u2019t appear if the tool wasn\u2019t able to complete its task. Now we automatically trim the X Clearance to the Clearance Radius with a warning informing the user that this was done. X Clearance and Z Clearance are also used to determine how far the tool should stay away from the material while rapid-traversing between two machining regions so now we disallow users from setting either clearance value to 0. When set to 0, this strategy will create a \u201csteep\u201d Contour toolpath. When set to 90, it will create either a \u2018Shallow\u2019 Parallel or Scallop toolpath, depending on the setting of the Shallow &gt; Type. We dug into the code and untangled some wires.
