Here in our Portland Office, we’ve been lucky enough to have interns from FIRST robotics<\/a> the past 6 years.\u00a0 You can read about our fresh batch of high school in college interns in Shaan Hurley’s post from last week –\u00a0 New High School Interns in Autodesk Portland Office<\/a>.\u00a0 I’ve been working with a few of them and letting them try their hand at content strategy.\u00a0 Their first post, written by Andrei Stoica, covers some of the basic information they share with other robotics students, coaches, and mentors about how to get Fusion 360.<\/p>\n

Autodesk provides free temporary licenses for many types of users for many of their products, including Fusion 360. If you\u2019re a student, hobbyist, maker, or member of a startup, you can get Autodesk 360 for free.<\/p>\n

Students<\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a student in high school or college, you can get Fusion 360, or most Autodesk products, for free for the duration of your studies. Autodesk even has a great Educational Community<\/a>. To get started, navigate to Autodesk\u2019s Knowledge Network<\/a>, where you can begin getting your free license. Simply create an Autodesk account through Fusion 360\u2019s Educational Portal<\/a> (or sign in if you already have one) and complete your profile. Congratulations, you just got access to Fusion 360 for free!<\/p>\n

If you are a tinkerer that loves making things, you can get Fusion 360 for free! As long as you are using Fusion 360 for wholly non-commercial purposes, it\u2019s yours. Create an account through Fusion 360\u2019s portal for hobbyists and startups<\/a> to get started. How wild, you just got yourself Fusion 360 for free!<\/p>\n

Startup Employee<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Working for a startup that needs CAD software? You might qualify for a free 12 month license of Fusion 360. If your startup generates less than $100,000 per year in total revenue, you are eligible for a free, year-long license. To see if you qualify, check out Fusion 360\u2019s portal for hobbyists and startups<\/a>. That\u2019s all, you just got Fusion 360 for free!<\/p>\n
