Alicia is an architect who explores design through the integration of materials and technology in relation to context specific environments. Her professional and research work has focused on exploring the relationship between architecture, technology and fabrication by implementing computational techniques on large scale design projects. She is currently a Ph.D. research fellow at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University where she explores the synergy between designers, materials and digital design and fabrication methods. She is also a course tutor at the Architectural Association Design Research Laboratory Master’s program. Previously, she worked at Populous and at Zaha Hadid Architects, London and completed her Master’s degree at the AA school of Architecture, London in 2010.
