India-based start-up Next Big Innovation Labs (NBIL) is taking 3D printing to the next level—by bioprinting human skin. The company’s bioprinter, Trivima, was created with Fusion 360, generative design, and Autodesk Eagle to design a machine that can be controlled down to the micron level. Using a bioink made from skin cells, Trivima prints Innoskin, which is being developed to replace animal testing for products and for custom skin grafts to treat injuries.
