MeetUp Webinars

Autodesk is proud to present our monthly AutoCAD Plant 3D Community MeetUp webinar series. In this space we will hear news and information on AutoCAD Plant 3D design solutions, participate in live Q&As with Autodesk specialists, and have the opportunity to connect with diverse members throughout the worldwide AutoCAD Plant 3D community.

The webinars are scheduled for 30 minutes, though we will always extend beyond the initial half hour whenever a lively discussion happens to take a life of its own.

    Jason Drew is a designated support specialist with Enterprise Priority Support at Autodesk. He joined Autodesk in 2011 as a member of the AutoCAD Plant 3D and P&ID support team. His previous roles include Intergraph SmartPlant P&ID (admin and designer), software training and support as an application engineer at D3 Technologies, and IT support at several engineering companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

    After studying mechanical engineering at Caltech, Joel Harris worked for AutoCAD developer Synthesis and also began teaching AutoCAD classes at Bellingham Technical College. From there, he started a 23-year career as a designer, Reality Capture, and Plant software administrator for an engineering company in Bellingham, WA. He's the author of Autodesk’s “Introduction to Piping Design with Plant 3D” college curriculum and part of the Autodesk Enterprise Priority Support team of specialists.

    Nabil is a piping engineer working as designated a support specialist at Autodesk WWFO since 2011. He is actively supporting piping interoperability features in Autodesk products portfolio such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor Routed Systems, and the BIM 360 family. Nabil has 11 years of background in various projects as consultant for EPC in Oil & Gas, Water, Chemical and R&D for food industries, from process to design implementation, including superintendent roles.

He has 8 years in total experience in process, power plant and pharmaceutical projects. He has worked with various CAD tools, mainly in process engineering.

    David Manning

    Designated Support Specialist - Autodesk Enterprise Priority - Process Manufacturing

    David is an enterprise support specialist at Autodesk specializing in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, Navisworks, Vault, Fusion 360, and a little in BIM 360. He has worked as an industrial steam plant boiler design draftsman, as well as in the oil and gas industry refining as a piping design draftsman for over 19 years, working on all manner of projects. The scope and variety of work required that he be flexible regarding what he worked on. While spending most of the time as a piping design draftsman, he has also taken on roles as system administrator and trainer for the design team. In addition to piping design, he has also worked as a draftsman and designer in most disciplines, ranging from electrical schematics to structural arrangements, details to concrete details, fabrication design, and even a small portion of automotive body design.

He is responsible for handling business escalations on support issues, preparing partners & customers for new release launch, delivering high-quality knowledge content, and helping customers achieve their goals by leveraging various aspects of the toolsets and working with product development on strengthening the product health using supportability analysis. He is also responsible for product launch readiness on AutoCAD toolsets for worldwide support teams at Autodesk. In his professional career, he has been involved in various designing and analyzing in the field of bio mechanics, Alternative fuels and so on.
