With that in mind, here are a few helpful hints for optimizing your drawing for the AutoCAD web app.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"save-to-web-and-mobile\">Save to Web and Mobile<\/h2>\n<p>If you know (or even just suspect) that you\u2019re going to need to edit your drawings from anywhere other than your desktop, you should get acquainted with the AutoCAD desktop app\u2019s Save to Web &amp; Mobile feature. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/whats-new-autocad-2019-save-web-mobile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New in AutoCAD 2019<\/a>, the Save to Web &amp; Mobile capability can be found in the App Menu (within Save) or in the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). A dialog box will open, and you\u2019ll be able to select where to save your files. Now that file will be available for editing in the AutoCAD web and mobile apps.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7859\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-high-res_ms1ols.jpg\" alt=\"AutoCAD 2019: Save to Web and Mobile\" width=\"500\" height=\"492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-high-res_ms1ols.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-high-res_ms1ols-300x295.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reminder: <\/strong>The first time you use this option, you\u2019ll be asked to install our \u201cSave to Web &amp; Mobile\u201d extension. Once the extension is loaded, you\u2019re set for all future saves.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"working-in-the-autocad-web-app\">Working in the AutoCAD Web App<\/h2>\n<p>Many of AutoCAD&#8217;s most frequently-used tools are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/edit-dwgs-online-autocad-web-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">available<\/a> in the web app. It&#8217;s easy to do line work, annotate, manipulate layers, and more. When you\u2019re in the AutoCAD web app, it\u2019s easy to save your work with the dedicated Save button at the top. If you open up the file saved locally on your computer, you won\u2019t see them, but that\u2019s easy to fix! Just select Open From Web &amp; Mobile (either from the App Menu within Open, or from the QAT), and select the file to open. If you want to overwrite the local version, just save the file as you normally would.
