In this entry, we\u2019re exploring the new Save to Web &amp; Mobile functionality, designed to help you work across all of AutoCAD\u2019s platforms, including our desktop, web, and mobile apps.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"autocad-anywhere\">AutoCAD Anywhere<\/h2>\n<p>First, let\u2019s take a quick minute to talk about our platforms. When you subscribe to AutoCAD 2019, you gain access to the new AutoCAD <a href=\"https:\/\/web.autocad.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">web<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/autocad-mobile\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mobile<\/a> apps. These apps provide fast, seamless access to DWG files wherever you are, from virtually any device, and you can draft, edit, measure, and annotate with the core tools and technology of original AutoCAD.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"save-to-web-mobile\">Save to Web &amp; Mobile<\/h2>\n<p>In order to make the most of AutoCAD on web and mobile, AutoCAD 2019 includes new \u201cSave To Web &amp; Mobile\u201d and \u201cOpen From Web &amp; Mobile\u201d capabilities. Together, these commands enable you to move files between the desktop, web, and mobile apps so that you can truly work anywhere. For example, you can take a drawing you were working on at your office, view and edit it in the field on the AutoCAD web and mobile apps, and save it back to your local network drive to continue working at your office.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7862\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-hr_pf32zi.jpg\" alt=\"AutoCAD 2019 Save to Web &amp; Mobile\" width=\"600\" height=\"591\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-hr_pf32zi.jpg 1158w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-hr_pf32zi-300x295.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-hr_pf32zi-1024x1008.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.autodesk.com/blogs\/autocad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2020\/04\/acad19-4-save-to-web-and-mobile-hr_pf32zi-768x756.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To save a drawing from your desktop up to the AutoCAD web and mobile apps, you can select \u201cSave to Web &amp; Mobile\u201d from the App Menu\u2019s Save As command.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, selecting \u201cOpen From Web &amp; Mobile\u201d in the App Menu\u2019s Open option lets you access the latest drawings created or edited on the AutoCAD web or mobile app. When you open a file with this option, this drawing is stored in the cloud and <em>not<\/em> on your local computer. But don\u2019t worry! To bring the drawing to your local storage, all you need to do is to select Save As and create a new version (or just replace the old version on your local network).<\/p>\n<p><strong>FYI:<\/strong> The first time you use these commands, you will have to install our \u201cSave to Web &amp; Mobile\u201d extension.
