From Data Sludge to Liquid Gold: Transforming the Future of Water Infrastructure Through Digital Prototypings
Water infrastructure owners and operators face poor asset information handover due to system misalignment. Could Automation, Integration, & Customization and integrated data enable Digital Prototypings to support operational efficiency, reduce rework and costs, and improve health and safety (H&S)? Learn how GHD successfully used client-focused data exchange and cloud collaboration during the 40MLD upgrade of Wellington Water Limited’s Te Mārua water treatment plant to ease these struggles. Automating the integration of asset information using Autodesk products enabled delivery of the asset register 12 months early—saving NZ$150,000 and 1,400 hours in asset data management. Combining Esri mobile apps and dashboards enhanced as-built quality and reduced site H&S risks. A proof of concept was developed where GeoBIM and Forma Data Management software were fused to create a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) common data environment (CDE)—the foundation for an operations and maintenance Digital Prototyping. We’ll share valuable lessons on managing evolving data needs and supply chains to demonstrate how connected workflows made Project Delivery more efficient.

Learn How to Unlock Insights from 3D Ground Data in Civil 3D with GeoDin Ground for Informed Infrastructure Design Choices
Ground data is key to constructing safe, cost-effective, sustainable infrastructure. As an Autodesk strategic partner, Fugro developed GeoDin Ground app for Civil 3D software to transform infrastructure design by providing designers and civil engineers with contextual and comprehensive ground data through an integration with GeoDin, a leading geotechnical data management, analysis, and reporting software. The GeoDin Ground app allows designers to see into the ground. How does this work exactly? We’ll show and teach you all the major insights in this session. We’ll import geotechnical data directly into Civil 3D, visualize boreholes, and create surfaces and volumes with GeoDin Ground. Finally, we’ll analyze geotechnical data between surfaces and create volume reports. And we’ll demonstrate the benefits of visualizing and analyzing infrastructure in combination with ground layers. You’ll leave the session with a bigger picture of the impact of GeoDin Ground and a practical understanding of the app.

Rebuilding Porto Alegre, Brazil: InfoWorks ICM, Civil 3D, and InfraWorks Workflow for Climate-Resilient Infrastructure Design
In 2024, Porto Alegre faced historic floods that impacted more than 157,000 people and 46 neighborhoods, with the Guaíba River rising above 5.33 meters. With 142 high-risk areas mapped, the city needed urgent, resilient solutions within 12 months. This case study shows how Autodesk tools—InfoWorks ICM, Civil 3D, and InfraWorks software—and ArcGIS Pro were used to model flooding, design containment strategies, and develop resilient infrastructure for slopes and roads. The integrated workflow enabled the analysis of three alternatives, balancing cost, time, and performance. Autodesk technologies provided agility and accuracy, and reduced rework, supporting faster and smarter decisions. The project also advanced environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals through sustainable, inclusive, and data-driven planning, proving the critical role of digital solutions in climate-resilient urban infrastructure.

Unlocking the Power of Reality Capture: Leica CloudWorx Seamless Integration with Autodesk

Reality Capture has been in the industry since the late 1990’s where it has evolved from it’s tripod-based roots into encompassing many different forms of data capture of today. One could easily make an argument that Reality Capture has also grown from a handful of sensors to now a wide variety of processes. Regardless of where the data comes from, there has been one consistent and constant challenge that professionals still face. What to do with the volumes of data Reality Capture creates and how to make meaningful deliverables. This session will look at a brief history of Reality Capture as well as provide insight on how Leica CloudWorx continues to provide powerful tools for converting massive point cloud data into meaningful 3D models, 2D CAD drawings, and topographic deliverables. Furthermore, many tools in Leica CloudWorx serve as enhancements to the standard CAD tools that are in the various Autodesk suite of software packages.
