India's oldest construction company was established in 1865. Learn how it's swiftly adapting to the ongoing advancements in cloud-based common data environment (CDE) platforms for efficiently managing highly fragmented construction data generated on a large-scale project in Mumbai, India. In a traditional setup, more than 200 hours of additional time is spent per month across five functions and 12 roles, leading to multiple layers of duplicity of information and data entry. In an attempt to drastically reduce this time spent, the project team has adopted Autodesk Forma to create powerful workflows that successfully connect teams across various functions, leading to a significant improvement in data transparency and accessibility, and thus closing the gap between site and the project management office. In this session, discover how throughout the last 18 months the platform has been used to create and manage more than 90,000 assets, 9,000 forms, 6,500 files, 1,000 reviews, 600 transmittals, 500 issues, and 50 RFIs—with very little change management involved.

There are many challenges and conflicting priorities for scaling model-based estimating. This presentation will discuss these challenges and the process Barton Malow Builders implemented to establish a more uniform practice and reliably deliver model-driven quantification for all our projects. We will mention how these methods need to fit with our overall estimating process, and the team adaptation that is needed. We will also cover how other innovations from Autodesk—such as Forma Takeoff and Autodesk Forma capabilities—can influence progress.

This case study session will explore the benefits of using Forma Takeoff software to use quantification data as a design tool throughout the building design process. As architects, we often overlook the importance of quantification and cost during the early phases of design, typically generating an unwelcome dose of reality downstream, leading to rework and intensive design changes. What if we could predict with greater fidelity and confidence the cost of our design in near real time, as we're designing and progressing Revit models. This was exactly our goal with implementing Takeoff. Reviewing case study projects, we'll demonstrate how we were able to bridge the gap between design intent and project budgets—thus, allowing 3D quantification through Takeoff to guide decision making during design, promote model quality throughout production, and rally project stakeholders around the same data within a collaborative Autodesk Forma environment.

Capturing progress data directly from the construction site is essential for streamlining the daily responsibilities of project superintendents. The availability of building information modeling (BIM)-based data in the Forma Build Assets tool, together with augmented reality (AR) progress reporting from sites through GAMMA AR, now provide an intuitive and reliable approach to progress tracking. Our case study will focus on the successful implementation of these technologies in a hospital project led by Batson-Cook Construction, a KAJIMA Company. We'll detail the strategies employed to effectively organize site teams for optimal data collection, the structuring of intelligent models to facilitate accurate progress tracking, and the automated processes we developed to maintain project schedules and timely payments. The presentation will conclude with a summary of best practices and essential insights gained from the experience.

ERP integrations typically take months to scope, configure, and deploy. That didn't work for Satterfield & Pontikes when they were switching from Procore to Forma Build and had a tight timeline to get on board with Autodesk's Cost Management. What they needed was a turn-key solution that would help them onboard within days, and support customization as they rolled out new workflows. They partnered with their Autodesk global platinum partner, Graitec, and adopted their new cloud application ERP SYNC — a cutting edge data synchronisation platform powered by Agave This session brings together experts from Satterfield & Pontikes, Graitec, Agave, and Autodesk to discuss the successful implementation of this integration under a challenging timeline. Discover how you can apply similar strategies to streamline integration between your own ERP and Cost Management systems.

Join us as we have a candid and in-depth discussion about how Clayco, Inc., transitioned to the Autodesk Forma software Forma Build from BIM 360 and PlanGrid. This session will cover in detail the specific areas of our Forma Build implementation, including how we redefined account admin standards on roles and companies, how projects were onboarded to the new platform, and how Clayco, Inc., took a measured approach to its rollout of Forma Build modules. We will provide extensive lessons learned from our adoption, and tips on how we track the effectiveness of our Build rollout. In general, attendees will develop a deeper understanding of how a large design builder develops a framework to carefully scale up its adoption of Forma Build throughout its enterprise. This includes having direct and open feedback channels with key internal stakeholders, being transparent with Autodesk product managers on where improvement is specifically needed, and iteratively refining training content over time.

The ability to effectively manage and coordinate tasks is critical for success in construction. Centralized scheduling and planning using the Autodesk Forma Schedule tool can significantly streamline project management by providing a unified view of all activities. By crafting interconnected plans alongside standalone plans, project managers and teams can ensure that every piece of the project puzzle fits perfectly with the others. This integration allows for seamless transitions of specific tasks from broader schedules to targeted plans, facilitating better resource allocation and timeline accuracy. In this session, we will cover a step-by-step process/workflow demonstrating how to import, collaborate, and manage third-party schedules within Forma Build Schedule.

Forma Data Management is a cloud-based common data environment on the Autodesk Forma platform, facilitating concurrent collaboration between multiple users. Does working together on the same project pose challenges for the team, particularly when multiple users are working on the same set of drawings? Are you experiencing any synchronization issues while collaborating on the same project drawings? Do you encounter issues when notifications about one user's edits are not sent to the other users? Collaboration becomes significantly more productive when the system operates as anticipated and delivers instant results. With Forma Data Management project synchronization enhancement in AutoCAD Architecture software and AutoCAD MEP toolset now resolves the challenges and alleviates our burdens. The projects hosted on Forma Data Management now support automatic synchronization of changes across multiple users. Now two or more users can collaborate on a project across offices and locations. Users can identify if a drawing is available for editing or locked by others.

Sustainability and cost efficiency for residential building is more important than ever. We will present with our customer Haas an integrated workflow from the configurator, an automated detailed design process in Revit to fabrication and the construction site. This digital process allows prospects to visually configure and calculate any residential or family timber house. These visualization of the customer's request via the house configurator leads to a faster and high-quality discussion with the customer. Seamless transition from configuration to design in Autodesk Revit ensures that no extra detail design work must be carried out manually. That model is transferred into the fabrication process and finally all data is leveraged via BIM360/ACC BUILD on construction sites for project and quality management and daily logs.

AutoCAD (& verticals) Plant 3D, and Revit all have different workflows with ACC/BIM 360 projects and the Desktop Connector. After many challenging hours I believe I have finally found a way to explain the various ACC/BIM 360 workflows and would like to share this knowledge with everyone else who's also dealing with all these various workflows and collaboration options. Specifically, I'm going to cover working with Revit, Plant 3D, and Civil 3D (same workflows for AutoCAD) with ACC and/or BIM 360 projects. I'll also cover the Desktop Connector 15 and 16 and the differences we've encountered, good and bad.
