This class covers the concept and creation of a new series of semisubmersible and one-atmosphere watercraft that make the underwater world more accessible. Design work was done in Autodesk Alias and carried through to the production of four vehicles. The class will start with design and cover other key elements required to bring the designs to reality, including construction issues, human factors, and the user experience. These new submersibles have the potential to change the way we interact with the element of water.
- Explain why it is important to precisely develop a design using only curves over engineering data
- Jump from a great Alias model to the inspiring set of imagery you need to sell your dreams
- Explain how to translate the visualization of a new architecture from your vision to a 3D sketch made with curves
- Take into consideration all interfaces of usage plus hydrodynamics simulations to start your model with confidence
