This session is based on a case study involving Hoffman Construction Company and the Seattle Light Rail Expansion Project.
Implementing an issue tracking platform early to solve important communication challenges allowed Hoffman and the JV partnerships to support the project team stakeholders. With each new rail expansion project, incremental improvements streamlined the process. When working with their trade partners the integrations offered by BIM Track allowed them to resolve issues directly in authoring platforms like Revit and AutoCAD, in addition to organizing clashes within Navisworks.
A cloud-based issue tracking platform allowed Hoffman Construction to overcome 3 coordination challenges: Internal organization and communication, ineffective trade partner collaboration and an overlapping coordination/construction schedule.
