Session Description
Join this session to get an insight into the basic manipulation of CNC post processors and learn how important the use of a post processor can be as part of the manufacture process. Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk FeatureCAM and Autodesk Powermill can all have a connected workflow to CNC machines situated on the manufacturing shopfloor, with the use of a post processor. Therefore, how do you find post processors in these applications and when you do, what if the post processor is not suitable for your needs, what do you do then? In this session let’s look at some common changes that can be made to post processors and what to do when you feel making changes is not in your remit?
Learning Objectives
- Understand the use of a Post Processor with Autodesk Advanced Manufacturing Solutions
- Locate and understand a Post Processor, in terms of library location and file format for Powermill, FeatureCAM and Fusion 360
- Open, review, understand and make minor changes to a post processor, then see the affects in the NC code
- Discuss and review the most common changes users would commonly like to make to a Post Processor.
