Create custom tools
 
 
 

When you drag a copy of a tool onto a shelf or marking menu, that copy of the tool retains its own settings. You can use this feature to access different tool configurations quickly.

Create a custom tool

  1. Drag a copy of a tool to a shelf or marking menu.
  2. Set the options of the tool.
  3. Hold and double-click the tool copy to rename it.

Drag a custom tool onto a shelf

  1. Double-click the tool icon on the palette and set its options.
  2. -drag the icon in the option window onto a shelf.

    NoteThe icon in the option window represents a copy of the tool with the current settings.

Customize a tool already on a shelf

  1. Double-click the tool on the shelf and set its options.
  2. Click Save.
    NoteThe settings of any other copies of the tool on the shelves or on the palette will not change.
