Promote a previous version

Learn how to promote an earlier version of your design.

  1. Open design details
  2. Promote a version

Each version that is saved is archived and stored by Fusion 360. View all versions that were created for the Utility Knife.

In the previous exercise we changed the appearance of one part in our design. However, we decide that change is not suitable for us and we want to promote an earlier version as the most current.

1. In the Data Panel, select 05_Utility_Knife

2. Click the icon by the 05_Utility_Knife document.

3. Click Click here to see versions.

4. Hover over version v1, and click Promote Version

5. After a while, a new version of your design is created.

Congratulations on completing the Manage and Collaborate Chapter! In these lessons, you learned the fundamental skills for managing and sharing your data in Fusion 360.
