Trial News (and “How much will Fusion 360 cost?”)
Lucky you, we’re extending your Fusion 360 trial! We’ve been working to make the Fusion experience the best in can be, and that will include the buying experience. And we want to make some improvements before you can buy Fusion. So here’s the answers to some commonly asked questions about pricing:
How much will it cost?
For commercial users (if you’ll make money from your designs) we’re planning to make Fusion 360 available at 3 levels, depending on how long you want access:
- Annual Commitment $300 ($25/month)
- Quarterly Commitment $115 (~$38/month)
- Monthly Commitment $40/month
We’re also planning to provide Fusion 360 for free to:
- Students (those enrolled at school)
- Enthusiasts (people using Fusion for personal enjoyment, rather than commercial endeavors)
When can I buy it?
We’re currently looking at availability in mid-December, through our partners and the Autodesk eStore
What will happen to my current trial?
Right now, continue using Fusion as you have been! Current and new trial users will be able to use Fusion for free until availability (around mid-December).
So how will the trials work after that?
For new users trying Fusion after mid-December, we plan to give a 30-day trial.
What will happen to my data after I finish my Fusion 360 trial?
It’s your data, and you’ll still have access to it, even after your trial ends.
While your Fusion 360 trial may have ended, you’ll still have access to your Autodesk 360 account. So you can still download your data onto your hard drive, or leave it on the Autodesk 360 cloud. Your choice.
Simply login to your Autodesk 360 account from a browser and all your data will be available to you.
We’ll be sure to let you know when your free trial is up. We’d also love to hear your feedback on this news in the comments below.
In the meantime, enjoy the free goods!
