Batch procedural compositing

Batch, a node-based procedural compositing environment that features the Flame creative toolset, is tightly integrated with the timeline and Flame Desktop. Increase your efficiency with a better workflow and faster performance when building composites in Batch.

The load from desk function is new with Flame 2017. You can now temporarily view your reels to add more sources to your Batch. You can also switch reel groups while you are loading.

Batch group has been updated to allow for iterations. Users can change the iteration start number; customize saved setup backups with tokens or a python hook; or turn off iterations for a particular Batch.

In addition:

  • Build custom processing trees as you tailor effects to the task at hand.
  • Version shots with Batch snapshots or break complex composites into easier-to-manage subsections.
  • Convert sections of Batch trees into a Batch FX clip for timeline editing and improved performance.
  • Work quickly and interactively with GPU acceleration via Reactor, the Batch GPU/CPU processing pipeline.
