    Documentation

  • Enhanced PDFs New

Produce documents more quickly with smarter, smaller, and more powerful files. All text is searchable, and you can attach PDF files to your drawings for better performance.

  • Smart Dimensioning New

Automatically create appropriate measurements based on your drawing context. Pass the cursor over selected objects to get a preview of the dimension—before you create it.

  • Revision clouds (enhanced)

Create revision clouds with more flexibility and modify them with ease. Draw revision bubbles around new changes in a drawing to quickly identify your updates. Whether your revision cloud is rectangular, polygonal, or freehand, it's now easier to edit its size and shape with a grip.

  • Refined interface

The darker interface not only looks great, but it also reduces eyestrain. It's easier to see fine lines, buttons, and text.

  • Ribbon galleries

Visually access drawing content directly from the ribbon, saving time and clicks. The Ribbon gallery offers a fast and intuitive workflow. For example, suppose you want to add a block to your design. Using the Ribbon gallery, hover over the ribbon for a block insertion. The Block gallery will display thumbnails of all the blocks. You can insert your selection right away, without having to use a dialog box.

  • New Tab page

Get started on your design immediately with the New Tab page. Quickly open new and existing drawings and access a large selection of design elements. Open templates, updates from design feed, or design data residing on A360 project collaboration software.

  • Help window

The Help window displays tool locations within the interface. An animated arrow points to the tool in the ribbon. This saves you time and keeps you productive.

  • Command preview

Preview the outcomes of frequently used commands before you commit to them. Command preview helps you reduce the number of Undo commands you make by letting you evaluate the potential changes of commands such as Offset, Fillet, and Trim.

  • Intelligent command line

The command line interface includes AutoCorrect, Adaptive Suggestions, and Synonym Suggestions. AutoCorrect spellchecks your input and offers suggestions from a synonym list, so you never have to see the Command Not Found message. AutoComplete supports mid-string search.
