Jonah Ross-Marrs

When we click “print” to transform a virtual 3D model into a physical object with a 3D printer, the first step our computer takes is to translate our model into a series of triangles. The computer process of making triangles happens very quickly, but if we slow the process down and stretch it in time, we can begin to see how computers process our files to prepare for 3D printing. The resulting stretched-in-time models are 3D printed and look like tiny explosions encased in resin.
